Hello!
My name is Matt Allison.
I go by many titles with over a decade of experience in the design industry. My work has been featured in various lifestyle publications including Home, House & Leisure, Elle Decoration, VISI, Real Estate, Good Taste & The Sunday Times.
Based in Sydney, Australia my approach to interior styling and design is clean and timeless. I believe in creating spaces that are simple and functional, yet practical enough to deal with the ever-growing demands of daily life.
Thank you for visiting.

Our Gathered Home

2014 is filled with exciting adventures, opportunities and new creative endevours, the latest of which is my new blog: Our Gathered Home.
It started out of a need to share honest, authentic homes lived in by real people, across the globe and my aim is to showcase family life in a multifaceted approach to urban living.
I’ve launched with friends of mine, Rebecca and Bruce Meissner, a Cape Town, South Africa based documentary style photographic duo who own and run, Love Made Visible, focusing primarily on wedding photography.
Their rental home in Muizenberg is affectionately known as ‘The Boathouse’, where they reside with their surrogate cat. They don’t own a single piece of new furniture, everything is a hand-me-down or thrifted find. When they are not out shooting they can be found surfing, hiking, gardening, cooking, dreaming about their next travel adventure and building their own house.
Starting the first week of Feb I’ll be showcasing new home tours, follow along there and on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram.
VISI 66 – The Office Issue
I’m a little slow on the uptake, but in case you haven’t already seen it, the latest issue of VISI is out.

It’s jam packed with Office Ideas including a spread on Nathan’s ‘Play-Play’ office. VISI also did a behind the scenes ‘home tour’, which you can see on-line here.
